Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Feeding
While on Moreton Island you should not miss the opportunity to join the night time Tangalooma dolphin feeding.
Hand feeding a pod of wild dolphins has become somewhat of a tradition and is very popular with visitors. You can also go swimming in the same area, near the jetty at Moreton Island’s, Tangalooma - the wild dolphin island.
The dolphins are not hard to find as they usually gather by the Tangalooma jetty each night. This was a whaling station until 1962. Now you can enjoy and be more in touch with nature.
The dolphins seem to like the interaction with people as they grab the baitfish out of your hand with the utmost care. The experience of hand feeding the dolphins is unforgettable, as are these magnificent animals.
Proud of its eco-activities, Tangalooma offers an inspirational mix of experiences, including dolphin feeding and seasonal Tangalooma whale watching – all within view of Brisbane and its attractions.
